Spot on Ron…. there are mistakes we make even when we’re trying to pay attention and there are certainly those among us to consider themselves too smart to make made decisions… a theory violated once uttered.

Money Mistake Number 2 hit home! I found myself forgetting coupons after clipping them so now I simply leave the coupons in my truck. Our Kroger doubles coupons up to .50. Quite often, they’ll have items for $1.00 and I’ll have a .50 coupon. It really pays to NOT forget my coupons!
I’ve also stopped driving out of my way to save a few pennies. And I only go to my fun thrift mart when they have half off sales.
We do tend to sweat the pennies!

These are all very good points, but I think my favorite one is #4 – budgets. I think it is a common mistake and I also think it is the best step you can take to get your spending under control, save more, make more, etc.

Great post. The tricky thing about these mistakes is that you have to change the way you think in order to avoid them. Just a few years ago I was making probably all of these mistakes. It’s been a long road completely changing the way I think about money. It’s worth it though.
