Love the tips.
It's amazing what can be done in the few short minutes during the Ads, like the dishes!!!
Great sense of achievement.

Cheers

Funny I ran across this today... We just started playing the "clean up game" with my three year old last weekend! We set the timer for 5 minutes and tried to see who could pick up their things the fastest - mommy, daddy or Amelia. I was surprized at how well it worked.

We have tried the timer and it works! She will set a timer on our microwave and give the kids 15 minutes to get the kitchen cleaned or to clean their rooms. My son, who is super-competitive will almost always finish early and announce the remaining time to his sisters. They don't really like him doing that for some strange reason ... ;)

I think #5 is my biggest problem! I get super ambitious and make my list just unreasonable... Perhaps instead of money tracking, I need to start doing time tracking!

Love this,Ron!
Your wife is on to something with the clean-up during commercials! Has she tried setting a timer for say 1o or 15 min. and challenging everyone....see who gets the most done?
Thanks for all the quotes from different people following each suggestion! I am a collector of quotes!
I am a procastionater...and hate to admit it! But...I have just recently admitted to myself!

I know how you feel about procrastination. I'm still in school right now and I work as well and I know how difficult it can be sometimes to NOT procrastinate, which is why I've resorted to a handy agenda. My agenda holds all my tasks and I even prioritize my tasks to see which one needs immediate attention. Also, another thing that helps me not procrastinate is if I tell myself to get started so that I can get a short little break later on and maybe do something fun for 15-20 minutes and then get back to work.

Wow, this post is very inspiring! I admit that I sometimes procrastinate. But I think reading articles like this one that inspires people to act swiftly is a good way on avoiding procrastination itself. Keep it up Ron, I really love reading your blog!
