An Innovative Way To Deposit Checks With Ally Bank

Ally Bank [2] has begun a phased roll out of eCheck Deposit! eCheck Deposit will allow customers to remotely deposit checks to their Ally Bank [2] accounts by scanning and transmitting a check image online. If you’re a customer of Ally Bank [2], you’ll soon be able to submit your checks electronically from the comfort of your home or office. Plus it’s free. Does your bank do that?
Frankly, I think this is just awesome. Scan a check you wish to deposit and submit it to Ally Bank [2] – you avoid the lines, the hassle, the having to adapt your schedule to the bank’s open hours, and filling out deposit slips. This is how banking should be and according to communications from Ally “… this is just the first step in rolling out a mobile solution for our customers.” That’s great news!
The rollout will happen in phases throughout 2011. What that means is that as an Ally Bank [2] customer, you’ll be able to use this exciting new service on a specified schedule. By rolling this new service out in phases over the next several months, Ally will be able to collect feedback along the way to make their experience even better.

If you’re an Ally customer, look for an e-mail notification letting you know when you’ll have access to eCheck Deposit but remember, you can always continue to use the current ways to deposit checks into Ally Bank [2] accounts: transfer money online from another financial institution, direct deposit, wire transfer and U.S. mail.
