I Screwed Up Big Time! Please Forgive Me?

In a post yesterday about the Cash For Clunkers program, I screwed up and didn’t do my research, instead relying on the word of one person and a website. I violated my own appeal to authority rule and it showed.

After receiving a lot of emails and comments about my assertions that the cars would be sold on eBay, I decided to post a retraction. Please forgive me for not doing the proper research before making my assumption! I was wrong and I admit it. The cars are to be destroyed or otherwise rendered incapable of operation, though some may still have specific parts sold on the open market.

My original post was incorrect.

Wow – I am so impressed, you admitted you were wrong. What a man.

Don’t worry about it man, we all make mistakes. The important thing is that you realized it, acknowledged it publically, and made a good-faith effort to correct it.

No big deal. I wish I had a nickel for every time I made a mistake. I’d be wealthy for sure! Besides, we’ll help keep you straight!

Thanks! I’m just glad my mistake wasn’t something that could have cost a reader some money!

Just thought maybe you might want to retract your retraction. Is this saying what it sounds like they’re saying???
