Roundup and Link Love – Economic Meltdown Edition

What a crazy week. We’re bouncing around a bill in the Congress that will put you and me, as taxpayers, another $30,000 to $50,000 in debt…each! Thanks for nothing to everyone from Jimmy Carter, to Wall Street, to Bill Clinton, to the Senate, the House, to Democrats, and to Republicans. Very few people are immune from blame, but please do remember this: President Bush called for reform 17 times in 2008 alone. If you do your homework, you’ll find that the meltdown signs were there all along [2], but partisan politics prevented any progress. Now, because of egos and posturing, because of selfishness and back room deals, because of excesses and earmarks, you and I are going to have to spend more than half of every year working to pay the taxes to bail these thieves out?

I am fed up with the clowns in Congress. Fed up.
