Roundup and Link Love – Last Sunday of 2008 Edition

I can’t believe I typed that. The last Sunday in 2008, that is. This year has flown by and has produced a lot of change in so many different areas. One great change was the formation of The Life Skills Network. Here are some great posts from its members.

Jeff at My Supercharged Life wrote on handling pressure. He used three fantastic quotes to give us ideas on how to look at it differently.

One great idea to reduce pressure for next year is to use Frugal Dad’s post on starting a Christmas savings fund so you are better prepared for next year.

Madison updates us on her adventure in digging up her front yard due to a plumbing problem. She also reveals some ideas on how to file for claims and negotiate with suppliers and contractors in the process.

Marc wrote about following your passion and being true to yourself. He tells two stories to reinforce his point saying, “good excuses are still excuses.”

Over at Simple Mom, she wrote about the surprising side effects to money management. Unlike all the designer drugs on the market, there aren’t any negative side effects to money management, no “sleepwalking with no recollection of the event” or “dizziness, migraines, increased ear hair growth, or loss of appetite” here. Only good side effects!

Sara at On Simplicity give out some tips to help you enjoy your family during the holidays. George Burns once said, “Happiness is a loving and supportive family … that lives several states away.” None of that in THIS post!

Enjoy the links.
