Okay. Enough is enough. The drought is over. We get it already.
I don’t know about you, but my yard is drenched. The amount of rain it’s received in the last few days has been incredible! Thank goodness I’m on a hill.
While I’m throwing a life preserver to the pairs of animals marching down my street to that great big boat in my neighbor’s yard, check out these great reads from my friends around the blogosphere.

America is the NO vacation nation @ Wise Bread. Do you use all your vacation time each year? I manage to, but many of my colleagues don’t. Not only that, but companies in other very advanced nations give their employees HUGE amounts of vacation time. Maybe we could learn a few things about recharging our batteries.

Thanks for the link, Ron!
That price placebo article is interesting. We actually had that experience just yesterday. The screen on my main laptop went out, and I had to buy a new one because working on a netbook just isn’t gonna cut it. Well, I found an Acer with amazing reviews, but I had to convince my husband it was worth buying because it was SO inexpensive. Even though every reviewer said it was an incredibly good laptop for the price, he thought we should buy the more expensive model…just because. I finally won that argument — er, discussion — and my cheap laptop is on its way (now, let’s just hope I’m actually right…).
