The Wisdom Journal Turns 2 Years Old

I hope you and your family had a great Christmas and Holiday Season. Actually, this site’s birthday was a few days ago, but my family and I went to Disney World for the Christmas Holidays and blogging wasn’t exactly on my mind. We had a blast but I don’t recommend going to Disney during Christmas week. The crowds were very large with wait times for the most popular rides topping 2-1/2 hours (if you want to experience the decorations and Christmas processionals, try going two weeks prior to Christmas).
Over these past two years, I’ve learned a lot about myself, personal finance, and building a website. Mostly, I’ve learned how little I know about all three of these. I’ve learned about making friendships with people you’ve never met and how an individual’s helpful nature and concern can actually be transmitted over the Internet.
I’ve learned that blogging is a lot of work, especially when you write an article each day. It isn’t the writing that’s difficult, it’s the research, the editing, the search for an appropriate picture or photograph, the keyword research, the optimization for search engines, and the interaction with readers and their comments when you can’t access your site the way you’d like. All in all, it’s a three to four hour per day process, in the evenings after work or early mornings prior to going to work.
I’ll pick up the daily pace of articles once the holidays are over, but until then, enjoy some of these blasts from the past two years while I take some time off to play with my kids and catch up on some rest:
