To reduce the credit limit lower than an existing balance is just another way for people to get stuck by overage fees. What a nasty reality check that can be. Glad it hasn't happened to me. It is amazing that credit card compaines are actually <em>lowering</em> credit limits. What a reversal! I'm glad to see some reality come back to the banking and lending industry.
